WW2 Evacuees at Kittochside Farm, East
Kilbride
St Columba's Primary School
Children were filmed during a day
out. They experienced what it was like to be an evacuee
during the war. They travelled into the countryside (East
Kilbride) wearing name tags; met a wartime school teacher;
walked along country lanes to the farmhouse; had a lesson
in a wartime classroom in a school outbuilding; toured the
wartime farmhouse, farmyard and kitchen garden.
