Project organiser: Cauldeen
Primary School, Highland.
This project enabled children to investigate the local impact of the war
by looking at environmental evidence, surviving documents and talking
to people to gain eye witness accounts. The class visited local sites
used by the services for training purposes and places bombed during the
war.

Mr Sutherland, from Inverness, served in
the RAF during the Second World War as a pilot and a radar officer.
