End of project party Inverclyde's War: End of project party (text & image)

To mark the end of the project and the 60th anniversary of the end of World War 2, War Detective primary schools came together with their story contributors for an afternoon of music and dancing in Greenock’s Town Hall. The party was celebrated in style with pupils in 1940’s dress dancing to wartime classics, provided by Inverclyde Schools Band.

The tea dance, held jointly with Inverclyde Arts, was an opportunity to thank all contributors and pupils for their hard over the previous months. The event was also an opportunity to unveil a WW2 themed mural depicting a timeline of events over the war years. The five schools involved in the timeline were Overton, St. Ninian’s, Kilmacolm and St John’s Primary Schools and Rothesay Academy.
