School
children interview Jean and Teresa about games during the war
|
Jean:
We used to go out and play. Our Mum and Dad’s used to
come and play skip ropes in the street. That’s what
we did instead of getting to go anywhere else. Mums would
call the ropes, that’s what we did. Did you do that
Teresa? And Peavers we used to play that at nighttime. We
had no wireless or TV or computer in those days but I never
saw a spy. We had to find our entertainment but we enjoyed
ourselves though didn’t we?
Teresa: Oh Yes. |
