Kenneth Whyte |
Our Grandfather, Kenneth David Gray Whyte saw
active service during World War II. Sadly, he died before we were
born but our Father (who was also in the Army) told us a bit about
him.
Grandfather was in the Army from around 1939 to
1948. My father said that Granddad was in the Black Watch at the
beginning of the war, but, suspected that he served with Special
Forces during the War as he was very secretive about his experiences
during the War.

| This looks like Rommel the German commander
but who is he shaking hands with? |

|
Here it looks like General Montgomery and Winston Churchill inspecting
rows and rows of troops.
Is the other man General MacArthur?

| The photographs featured here belonged to my
Grandfather. My dad has sent them to the Imperial War Museum to
see if he can find out the history behind them.
