We will remember them : Dale’s Granddad, Granny and Grand Uncle (text & image)

This is my granddad and his name is Rex. He parachuted from planes during the war. This picture was taken along at the Fendom beside Tain.

This is Granny front row second left with her friends during the war. They worked in a factory making bombs. She said that the red dust she worked with was in your hair and it wouldn’t come out for a while. My granny has a bad chest because of the dust she used to work with and she said that it was terrible where she worked.

This is my grannies brother Jim, with his friends from the war. He was on the R9 in Malta.

	This is the R9 in Malta. It was a very famous ship in the war. HMS Childers was a C class destroyer and used to escort food convoys into Malta. It was a very dangerous job.
