Their Past Your Future Scotland is led by the Scottish Museums Council in partnership with the Scottish Library and Information Council and Learning and Teaching Scotland and incorporates a Second World War touring exhibition curated by the Imperial War Museum. It is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

Scottish Museums Council (SMC) is the main channel for the Scottish Executive support to, and the member organisation for, non-national museums and galleries in Scotland.

SMC provides strategic leadership and a range of services including grant aid, strategic and operational advice, information and training. SMC has 208 members, which manage 345 museums all over Scotland, including 166 Independent, 142 local authority, seven regimental and 30 university museums.

Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) is the advisory body to the Secretary of State and Scottish Ministers, on library and information matters. SLIC members include all local authority, higher education, further education organisations, NHS Trust library services, as well as other specialist library and information organisations.
   
Learning and Teaching Scotland: this link will open in a new window Learning and Teaching Scotland
Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS) is a national public body which provides support, resources and staff development for early years and school education, and promotes learning throughout life. Their role is to advise the Scottish Executive and to support development in learning and education, including the use of information and communications technology (ICT).

Big Lottery Fund is the joint operating name of the New Opportunities Fund and the National Lottery Charities Board (which made grants under the name of the Community Fund). The Big Lottery Fund, launched on 1st June 2004, is distributing half of all National Lottery good cause funding across the UK.
